Whitebait season runs from August 15th - November 30th. North Canterbury Seafood "have only ever sold whitebait that comes fresh off the Ashley River to ensure its credibility" says Janine. They have used the same supplier for the last 2 years. $15 for 100g.
On October 19th & 26th Tow Bar Burgers will be cooking up whitebait pattie sammies for us at the market. A delicious, seasonal treat. Don't miss it!
